Payment

Birth and death registration fees are payable in Euros only. If applying by post, please pay by Mastercard or Visa debit and credit cards. We do not accept Maestro cards, bankers drafts, cheques, giros or any other form of payment. Please pay by Mastercard, Visa debit and credit cards or cash when submitting an application in person. Any applications received with the wrong form of payment will be returned to you by DHL courier service.

Courier fees

Customers who apply in person in Madrid can still collect their certificate in person from the Consulate-General in Madrid if they wish. Where a certificate is delivered to you, courier fees for the above certificates will be charged as follows:

Mainland Spain & Balearics  - €13.25
Canaries, Ceuta, Melilla & Andorra - €20

How to pay

If applying in person at our office in Madrid

We accept payment in cash or by Mastercard and Visa credit or debit cards.

If applying by post

You must pay using Mastercard or Visa credit or debit cards by printing a credit card payment authorisation form, filling in your card details as instructed on the form, and enclosing this with your application by post. Please do not send your actual credit card.

Please ensure you have sufficient funds available to pay using your debit or credit card or your application will be returned. We can not accept payment by cash unless your application is made in person at our offices. Any cash received through the post will be returned to the sender, thus delaying the application.
